Parents, its hard in this day and age to trust your most valuable possession to someone you might not know.
Here at WFMA all of our coaches are subject to an interview process before they are awarded a team to coach. We believe that it is a privelege to coach your youngsters.
After the interview is completed the perspective coach must recieve a Police Clearance from their local police service and we keep them on file.
Once that is completed all coaches must obtain their Concussion Awareness training from http://www.coach.ca and provide a certificate of completion to that regard. We also make sure that in practices that coaches are teaching heads up tackling techniques. We prefer using an instructional video from Coach Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks, you can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1etzT-Cgho With an update here:

All coaches are subject to a yearly review if the Board feels it necessary to discuss any incidents or behaviour reported by the parents or fans. Saying this the Board cannot be around or see everything. Its up to you the parents to let us know if anything should be addressed. For example, play time, berating players etc.
If you have any questions or concerns the league hosts a membership meeting once a month or you can always write an email to address them.
